My first attempt at an instrument taught me that I can fit a whole Italian harpsichord in the dumpster.

My first finished instrument is this Flemish single manual harpsichord based on the 1640 Ruckers in the Yale collection

I later started a copy of a fortepiano after Walter from the Vienna Kunsthistorisches Museum. I brought this with me to work on when I learned from Rod Regier in Freeport, Maine.

Future Projects

While my shop right now is limited to harpsichords and mostly hand tool work, I hope to soon put my North Bennet Street School education to work on restoring these pianos of historic importance. The collection gives a through narrative of pianos across Europe of the early Romantic Era.
