Pianos have hammers made of felt that must be manipulated to blend in with one another and fit the acoustics of its space

Over time and with use, the parts of a piano will compress and come out of alignment. If tuning is like filling your car with gas, regulation would be the oil change

Sticking keys and broken strings are common. Some repairs can fit into the window of a basic tuning, while some are require more time and effort
